Midburland
The principality is home to a long standing aristocratic class that jealously guards it position in society. Instilled in the population over time has been a deep caste tradition with the wealthy nobles at the top and trickling down to the lowest commoners.
Magic use is not common in society, with its use by commoners being so stigmatized that it would almost be counterproductive to make it illegal. Of the two, unlike most other cultures, divine magic is much rarer with unsanctioned use of divine magic leading to a visit from the priest hunters of the Order of Blades. Unrestricted arcane magic does not carry the same stigmatisms but practioners are highly “encouraged” to enroll in one of the officially recognized schools.
