Frostburg Pack

The Frostburg Pack is a tightly bonded and resilient group led by Ráðúlfr (Rahne) Ulfsson, whose leadership has shaped them into a formidable and unified family. Rooted in tradition yet adaptable to change, the pack values loyalty, strength, and cooperation, with each member contributing to its survival and stability. Though structured, the hierarchy allows for growth, enabling younger wolves to rise as they mature and prove themselves.   Beyond their ranks, the pack embraces a broader sense of family, protecting human mates, allies, and even non-wolf shifters who support their cause. Their bonds extend beyond blood, built on trust, shared purpose, and a willingness to stand together against any threat. Anchored by their rich history and led by a powerful Alpha, the Frostburg Pack represents more than just strength—they embody resilience, adaptability, and the enduring spirit of survival.

Structure

The Frostburg Pack is a family forged in loyalty, resilience, and tradition, led by the unwavering strength of Alpha Ráðúlfr (Rahne) Ulfsson. Rooted in Skölnian influences and shaped by the unforgiving wilderness they call home, the pack thrives on unity, adaptability, and shared purpose. Its structure reflects both order and flexibility, balancing hierarchy with fluidity to meet the ever-changing needs of survival.   At its core, the pack is guided by five key positions—the Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Omega—each serving vital roles in leadership, enforcement, strategy, and emotional balance. Supporting these are specialized roles, such as the healer, scouts, hunters, and record keepers, ensuring the pack remains self-sufficient and prepared for any challenge. Beyond these formal titles, dominance among the other members is fluid, shifting as individuals grow, mature, and prove themselves through action and loyalty.   The pack’s bonds extend beyond its ranks, embracing human mates, allies, and non-wolf shifters who live alongside them or offer aid in times of need. These relationships reinforce the Frostburg Pack’s belief that family is not defined by blood alone, but by trust, loyalty, and shared purpose.   Together, the Frostburg Pack stands as a reflection of the untamed wilderness they inhabit—fierce, enduring, and deeply rooted in both tradition and adaptability. Whether through battle, growth, or quiet moments of connection, they are more than a pack; they are a legacy of survival and strength.

Assets

The Frostburg Pack’s assets reflect over 200 years of growth, adaptation, and stability, ensuring their survival and influence extend far beyond their physical strength. Anchored by their established settlement, the pack has built a foundation of wealth, resources, and alliances that support their way of life.

Wealth and Finances

Over generations, the pack has accumulated wealth through trade, craftsmanship, and strategic alliances. Skilled artisans, like Ainsley the blacksmith, and resourceful hunters, such as Asim, provide goods that are valued both within and outside the pack. Hidden caches of gold, rare artifacts, and enchanted items add layers of security and value to their holdings, preserving their legacy and readiness for emergencies.

Territory and Infrastructure

The pack’s settlement—a fortified village nestled in dense forests and rugged terrain—serves as both home and stronghold. It features sturdy homes, storage buildings, training grounds, and a central gathering hall that reinforces their unity. Surrounding hunting grounds, herb gardens, and foraging areas are carefully maintained, ensuring long-term sustainability without overtaxing the land. The natural defenses of their territory, combined with their familiarity with the landscape, give them a tactical advantage in times of conflict.   With its wealth, resources, and alliances, the Frostburg Pack is far more than a collection of wolves. They are a fortified, self-sustaining community prepared to face any challenge while safeguarding their legacy for generations to come.

History

The Frostburg Pack was born out of bloodshed and renewal, founded by Ráðúlfr (Rahne) Ulfsson after he killed his tyrannical father and abandoned his former pack. Refusing to perpetuate the cruelty and dominance that defined his upbringing, Rahne sought to build something new—a pack rooted in loyalty, trust, and mutual respect rather than fear.   Rahne’s early life was shaped by hardship under his father’s rule, where strength was valued above all else, and compassion was seen as weakness. This harsh environment hardened Rahne but also left him questioning the path his father had carved. After enduring years of abuse and witnessing the suffering of those under his father’s control, Rahne took a stand. With the help of his brother and closest allies, he overthrew his father in a final, brutal confrontation, freeing himself and others from his oppressive reign.   But Rahne knew the scars of that rule ran deep. Rather than attempting to rebuild what had been broken, he left it behind, gathering those he trusted and those who shared his vision to form a new pack. They traveled south, seeking the chance to start anew.

Founding the Frostburg Pack

The Frostburg Pack took root in the wilderness, surrounded by dense forests and jagged peaks. The land was harsh, but it offered protection and a fresh start. Rahne’s leadership focused on strength through unity, balancing order with adaptability. His experience under his father’s rule shaped his approach, rejecting unchecked dominance in favor of structured roles and earned respect.   The pack began with Rahne’s closest friends and allies—Leif Heraldson, his childhood companion, Björn, a werebear who followed Rahne out of loyalty as well as his wife Fiadh and his two young twin sons. Along the way they picked up the orphan Zelda, adding her to their ranks. Over time, the pack grew as others were drawn to Rahne’s leadership, including wolves seeking refuge from harsh pasts and outsiders like Björn’s son, Esben.   Rahne and his pack established a permanent settlement—a fortified village nestled in the wilderness. This home served as a symbol of the pack’s commitment to stability and growth. With training grounds, storage areas, and communal spaces, it allowed the pack to thrive, raising families and passing down traditions.   Wealth accumulated through trade and craftsmanship, with members like Fiadh forging weapons and tools, while hunters and scouts ensured the pack remained well-fed and secure. Over time, caches of gold, enchanted artifacts, and heirlooms were gathered, reinforcing the pack’s resilience and preparedness for the future.

Modern Era

Today, the Frostburg Pack stands as a testament to Rahne’s vision—a family bound by trust and shared purpose. While their hierarchy provides structure, dominance among most members remains fluid, allowing individuals to rise as they grow and prove themselves. The pack’s strength is bolstered by non-werewolf allies, such as Björn and Evandra, Rahne’s vampire sister, reflecting their belief that bonds, not blood, define family.   Far removed from the fear and brutality of Rahne’s past, the Frostburg Pack thrives as a symbol of resilience, loyalty, and survival. Built from the ashes of an old life, they face the future with the strength of their shared history and the unyielding bond that holds them together.
