The Galactic Purging

The walls of the ancient dungeon were full of carvings of nightmares. Creatures of another world that could not be described. Some the size of a building, some larger than the suns! The dungeons cracked and shifted, it's wall telling a story of pain and death, a story of extinction, of annihilation, it told a story of The Galactic Purging.

Summary

The prophecy itself is very vague, it tell of a time when the purgers meld together and form the Purglings, huge beasts the size of suns. The Purglings would devour all life in Tanari and then travel to another galaxy to purify it as well. The cycle keeps repeating until one day all of reality is cleansed and then the Purglings would die and reality would be perfect.

It is knowledge that almost all who have encountered or pay attention to the Purgers have heard. This myth is the center of Purger belief and is what drives them forwards in madness and death.

Cultural Reception

Those who know of it are horrified, scared that any shape in the sky is a Purgling bearing down on them. Many social influencers have made posts and interviews talking about the Galactic Purge, some use it as Fear Mongering, others as a call to arms, others as a source of entertainment.

In Art

Many dungeons and ruins in deep within Purger territory is filled with carvings and art depicting the Galactic Purge. Others use it as a device to scare people for the fun of it and use it to bully.
