The Wooden Room

Room 5 - An old chest sits in the center of the room. This room is old and creaky with wood paneling and dusty wooden floor boards.  Several chests can be seen strewn all over the room 40 different chests line the floor and even the walls in uneven patterns. Chests are made of wooden boards with iron straps, some are metal chests with rivets all over them, some are gold chests with silver straps and silver locks.  DC 15 perception check [the chest on the south side of the room is old and wooden. It is a regular locked chest that holds 2 healing potions [1d8+2 HP each] 45 gold and 35 wolves heads.  There is also an unmarked potion in there as well.  [DC 18 arcana check reveals that it is a potion of dispel effect].   All of the other chests are mimics.   On the east wall is a door with a sign above it that says Dining room.  DC 15 athletics/acrobatics check to jump through the room and get to the door. Any fails will lead to a mimic fight.

The mimic can use its action to polymorph into an object or back into its true, amorphous form. Its statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn 't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies. Adhesive (Object Form Only). The mimic adheres to anything that touches it. A Huge or smaller creature adhered to the mimic is also grappled by it (escape DC 13). Ability checks made to escape this grapple have disadvantage. False Appearance (Object Form Only). While the mimic remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an ordinary object. Grappler. The mimic has advantage on attack rolls against any creature grappled by it. Actions Pseudopod. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: (1d8 + 3) bludgeoning damage. If the mimic is in object form, the target is subjected to its Adhesive trait Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: (1d8 + 3) piercing damage plus (1d8)acid damage.
