The Antikythera Device

This device was carved from Shardrock sometime early in the second age. Several histories insinuate that it's creation and it's abilites may have been a cause for the human elven war that was fought for centuries. It is carved to look like a strange alien monkey head. The device itself is a jade green in color and is the size of a bocce ball.
It is said that one who wields it properly can control all life in the Ashen Forest.  An army to command of beast, plant, and insect.  
The histories last tell of the device being safely placed in an ancient tomb somewhere in the vicinity of the what we know today as the Ashen Forest.

Rarity

The orb or statuette is hidden in the shadow realm adjacent to the material plane.  It is in the vicinity of the Ashen Forest in an ancient temple. Wes' ability to see and traverse the portals to the shadow realm is the reason he is being sought by all of the major powers of the Ashen Forest.  It will also become even more valuable when the Fallen find this out.
