Varian Bloodfallow
Lady Varian Bloodfallow is a human vampire who is spymaster for Abydon in Abydon's Blight and part of his inner council.
Before Abydon turned her into a vampire, she was Varian Tema, spymaster of the Tarruk Kingdom.

Varian was defeated by Eldri during the attempt to abduct Talyn. The Guardians later brought her back to existence and removed her contract with Abydon. She will be allowed to live as Edith's familiar, in exchange for teaching the dragons about the outside world. Once they know enough, have promised to return her to outside world, either as a vampire or restored to life as she wishes.
Varian's 'handler' on the 99th floor is Venma, whom Varian considers a friend.

The Guardians provided Varian with assistance that allowed her to kill Abydon. After this, her soul was released by Edith and she now a living deathtouched human. She is trying to decide what to do now that she's alive again.
