Dwarves
Stout and hardy, dwarves are short and favour underground living, having natural low light vision. Male dwarves are noted for their impressive beards while females have long and often heavily braided hair. Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
Dwarves will typically start a familly when in their early thirties. A dwarvish family will typically have five to six children. In the safety of a dwarvish hold, all will typically reach adulthood.
Growth Rate & Stages
A dwarf of under 10 is considered a child, one under 20 a youngling (teenager). Over 20 a dwarf is considered an adult and at the age of 70 a greybeard (elderly).
Ecology and Habitats
Dwarves are prolific miners and create vast underground holds, a complete society hidden underground. This is largely done for reasons of safety, as attacking a dwarf hold is all but impossible. Food is the greatest problem, but dwarves farm mushrooms and underground creatures, and always ensure that they have vast food reserves to withstand a siege.
