Alexei was a kind yet muscular Pachovan warrior whose fighting style favored spears and longarms.

Description

Alexei was a larger pachovan, standing nearly 5 and a half feet tall and weighing over 180 pounds. His facial features were strong, pointed that contrasted with his soft personality. Notably, Alexei was always seen wearing light leather armor, revealing various scars and wounds from his life as a Pachovan in the City of Kalaman.

Personality

Alexei was kind and soft spoken, often to a timid degree. However, Alexei was starstruck by Greenshield Commander Dimitri Borislav, claiming he was one of the few who proved Pachova could amount to more than their station decreed. Always willing to do for others (a notable characteristic of the Pachovan people), Alexei was known for his contributions to his community and steadfast readiness to help out those in need.

A novice warrior, Alexei had minor skill with the utilization of spears and longarms, a skillset he was determined to perfect in hopes of mirroring Dimitri's fighting style. Aside from his novice spear-fighting skills, Alexei was talented at diffusing hostile situations, often looking for compromise and peaceful resolution to problems as they arose.

Alexei's most notable friend is another Pachovan by the named of Makarov, a short-tempered alchemist who often saw the darker side of most situations. Despite Makarov's standoff attitude and personality, Alexei was always seen with him while in the City of Kalaman.

Enemies

After joining up with Dimitri and the Greenshield Regiment on a small quest beneath the city of Kalaman, Alexei made enemies of the Sea Dogs, a rag tag group of bullies headed by Sir Backaris the Younger Uth Estide. Unfortunately, this rivalry would cost Alexei his life on his first mission into the depths of the city.

History

Alexei came to Kalaman with his best friend, Makarov, in hopes of bettering his future and helping out the community he would soon find himself in. Shortly after being in the city, the Vogler citizens were evacuated to the shores of Kalaman after a brutal attack by the Red Dragon Army led by Kansaldi Fire-Eyes. Alexei was one of the first to offer his help, and would go on to be a reliable asset to the refugees. Shortly after the Greenshield Regiment was formed, Alexei and Makarov were approached to tag along in an underground excavation of ancient ruins beneath the city. Agreeing, the two Pachova joined forces with the Greenshields and Stonemaster Snadmamli Greygut. However, Dimitri and Makarov began to argue. With neither of the two budging on their stance, Makarov stormed off in anger, leaving Alexei with the Greenshields. Agreeing to honor his word, Alexei descended into the bowels of the city.
Shortly after heading underground, the Greenshields found themselves in tight corridors. Unable to utilize the spears he had been given by Quartermaster Lysander Brighthelm, Dimitri tasked Alexei with safeguarding them while the rest of the party pushed ahead. While in the depths of the city, Alexei was confronted by Sea Dogs, who commanded him to drop the spears he was holding. Unwilling to disobey a direct order from Dimitri, Alexei refused, and was beaten to death by the bandits. Upon discovering the death of Alexei, Dimitri tracked the Sea Dogs in the underground and murdered the two that killed Alexei, though he was nearly fatally wounded himself when reinforcements came. Alexei's body was recovered and buried in the city of Kalaman graveyard, amongst the community that he contributed to the betterment of.
