ATLAS Consortium

Born from the european will to have a strong and reliable SLS the Atlas Consortium rised from the merge of most of the european space tech giants. On the impulse of french and german governement Airbus and Siemens merged. The new entity soon started to acquire every other tech giants it can grab, insourcing as most as it could it's production of a new launcher. After the acquisition of both Thales and Loewe the group strike an historic deal, merging itself with Ariannespace, thus creating Atlas the Airbus-Thales-Loewe-Ariannespace-Siemens Consortium.
Through the use of both Ariannespace ample experience in SLS technologies and Airbus experience in design planes, the groupe quickly give itself an ambitious goal : Be the the first group to achieve true @SSTO.

Even if tehcnicaly they where beaten to the post by the russian design powerhouse, Antonov, the Atlas A400S first of it's kind as an SSTO cargo-plane was a revolution
The A400S was so reliable that the first of the line, nicknamed "Titan" flew more than 750 flight without any technical failure, and due to it's massive hull design haul nearly 25 000 metric tons of payload to LEO

The stellar success of the A400S set the pace for the space age and cemented Atlas as a major space tech player, giving to the young consortium more money and research grants than it ever could spend.
