Lux Eternam Cathedral
In the light of our mother we gather to receive the blessing of Her eternal light.
We pray humbly for our salvation and the rigt to serve Mother yet another day.

The Cathedral of Lux Eternam is a massive temple erected in the middle of the Sacred Light square in the aft part of Arc Majorem
The Lux Eternam Cathedral is a copy of Cluny III Abbaye (erected on earth on the 10th century of the Julian calendar).
While the exterior is as close as possible from it's model, to the notable exception that it's mainly made of air tight metal, the interior is vastly different.
In typical christian cathedral fashion it is a giant cross with tower trying to reach the sky on each angles. This very massive and tall building is towering above the rest of Arc Majorem asserting the religious and political dominance of the [Light Bearer] clergy over the rest of Selene
Access to the Cathedral is thightly controlled and only Selenian Citizen are allowed ( and in fact required ) to attend the daily mass. Said mass consist in a communal bathing in the holy water that fill the interior of the cathedral waist deep and pray to the light shining through the main cuppola. Selenian believe that this light come directly from their deity. It's an ongoing debate in most scientific circles where does that water and light came to be originally. No definitive explanation as yet to be agreed upon.
Use as a medical ward
It's a commonly known around the solar system that true Selenian are bordering on immortality. Their capacity to survive both the passage of time and the mos grievous of wound is what made them what they are.Few however know why they posses such capacity.
The light shinning in Lux Eternam Cathedral is actually thought to be extremly energetic uv light, this in turn activate the peculiar property of the water like substance contained in the cathedral.
Molecular analysis run on smuggled sample of said "water" have proven that "Mother's Tears" as the Selenian call it, is in fact an excessively acidique monomer mainly composed of fluor and cobalt.
Exposed to Mother Light, Mother's Tear enterin a rapid cycle of replication and quickly cover any damage tissue, curing every known ailement even going as far as regrowing full member.
The mechanism behind magic like capability of Mother's Tear is currently unknown.
Due to this the Lux Eternam Cathedral is Selene only medical ward. Anyone one who enter the sacred wall are deemed saved, disregarding survival hopes through normal means. This give Light Bearers an edge in time of war and a massive political might. It is to be noted though that comportemental analysis on captured subject prove that the substance is highly addictive and withdrawal is usualy deadly in 2 to 5 day.
