Springs of Tosoc

Located almost directly northeast of Hegelind the Springs of Tosoc are located high on the side of the mountain range yet make waterfalls as if there is some unending river supplying them. The crystal clear water cascades several hundred feet before disappearing into a massive cave-like amphitheater in the ground below. There is a massive and wide set of stone stairs built-in times unknown that many people use to venture down into the southern end where platforms and paths have been cut to allow access to the amazingly waters that fill the basin below.   There is a shallow cavern network that feeds off the walkways to the north that has had their roofs removed and replaced with clear quartz-like stone creating very large subterranean hot houses thus allowing the growth of plants that would usually fail to thrive in this area of the world. The caverns called the Gardens of Aja are open almost always to the public and are often used as a ready escape for people wanting some quiet time for reflection. At the very rear of the caverns, a pair of small carved stone monoliths are the only suggestion that a temple to the Patron Natura stands hidden here.    Being that the springs cavern system terminates only some two miles from the eastern gates of Hegelind rich aristocratic nobles get their indentured servants to bring the natural mineral-rich water into the city for bathing etc. The rest of the populace make the journey if they wish to.   For the more adventurous there is a cavern network stretching out for over a mile under the mountain range heading northeast. The deepest this network has been explored is to the place called Mile Marker where it was found that the floor of the cave suddenly ends and you will find yourself looking over the edge of a chasm that plows down so deep into the earth it is not possible to see the bottom of the far side.
