Harpoon Expert Feat

You are resourceful and skilled when it comes the use of harpoons, gaining the following benefits:

Proficiency with a javelin, hedan, spear, tepoztopilli, dervish spear, wolf-brush, kyet, kyet long-talon, bident, or trident

  • Ability Score Increase. Increase your Strength or Constitution ability score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • Throwing Arm. The normal throwing range of the listed weapons are doubled.*
  • Harpoon. As an action, you can use 30 feet of rope to turn any of the listed weapons into a makeshift harpoon. Whenever you make a thrown attack roll using this weapon at a target 30 feet or less from you, you can pull it back to your hand as a bonus action. Additionally, if the attack hits a target, when you pull the harpoon back to you, you can force the target to make a Strength saving throw against a DC of 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus. On a failure, you drag the target up to 20 feet toward you.

*Note: This feature does not stack with other features that double the range of thrown weapons. You can choose which version to use however if you have multiple to choose from.
