Insurance Character in Tales from the Other Worlds | World Anvil

Insurance

(a.k.a. Actuary)

A new world demands a new guardian of time; one who inspires security without the need for constant meddling.   Born of millennia-old pent-up belief and the influx of magic after the Event, Insurance is both unobtrusive and everpresent. Manifesting both youth and age, as if his body was stuck between two times, he is quite the opposite of his flamboyant old-world counterpart Thief of Time who was lost to the Collapse. Insurance's young man's face and slick style are countered by greying hair, an eternally fake smile, and the demeanor of one who'd seen the world and all its toils.   Insurance claims amongst his followers those cautious souls who prize planning over action and those capable of learning from their ugliest mistakes. However, the core tenet of his belief is to live life to the fullest, knowing that only preparation delivers true freedom.
