PNN Exclusive Interview: Travel Agency Abandons Shard 3   Interviewer: Samantha Vallance 17, Director of Operations for the Travel Agency. Thanks for finally agreeing to speak with us. Many are calling this relocation from Shard 3 a cowardly retreat. Care to comment?   Samantha Vallance 17: Cowardly? I'd say it's quite the opposite. We're taking a stand against the atrocities committed in Shard 3. The Culling was a horrific event, and frankly, the new regime's refusal to acknowledge its role is unacceptable. They claim to be a reformed government, but they're essentially the same oligarchs from the First Domain, just with a new figurehead. We have little faith that the treatment of their citizens will actually improve.   Interviewer: But you're abandoning the citizens of Shard 3 to the very regime you condemn. Some might say that's a dereliction of duty for an organization that claims to connect the multiverse.   Samantha: That's a gross mischaracterization. The citizens of Shard 3, all of them, are welcome to join the Agency. We've opened numerous channels to facilitate their application. But we will not be complicit in the First Domain's continued oppression by allowing them access to interdimensional travel.   Interviewer: So, it's punishment, then? You're cutting them off to make a point?   Samantha: We're upholding our principles. The Agency was founded on the ideals of cooperation and mutual respect. The First Domain has demonstrated neither.   Interviewer: Let's talk about this new headquarters. Shard 99. It's a backwater, barely civilized. Hardly the image one expects from the central hub of interdimensional research.   Samantha: Shard 99, with its unique inhabitants and strategic advantages, is far more valuable than you give it credit for. The Cinderfox have revolutionized our operations. As for "civilized," perhaps you need to re-evaluate your definition.   Interviewer: Speaking of "civilized," rumors abound about the Southern Cross temples appearing across dimensions. Some whisper they have their own gate network, a rival to the Agency. Are you concerned? Investigating? Or simply burying your head in the sand?   Samantha: No comment.   Interviewer: Always with the secrets, Ms. Vallance. Thank you for your time. Viewers, you decide. Is the Travel Agency a force for good in the multiverse, or are they abandoning their responsibilities in the face of adversity?     The preceding interview represents the views and opinions of the individuals involved and does not necessarily reflect the editorial stance of the Pandimensional News Network.
