The Multiverse
The Multiverse is the sum-total of all reality; everything that is, was, will be, or could be. It contains countless alternate universes, or "paracosms," each defined by a particular set of physical and metaphysical laws. Travel between paracosms is possible, but only if two paracosms are linked by an aetheric current. Together, these currents form the Bifrost, a vast network that defines the possible routes of inter-cosmic travel.
While the number of paracosms is believed to be infinite, fewer than 2000 have been extensively explored and documented. Most of these "known worlds" life within the Europa Cluster, a structure consiting of 1728 paracosms with a high degree of connectivity, making travel between them comparatively easy. The Cluster has been the locus of multiversal civilization for thousands of years, while the regions beyond it, known as the Frontier, remains largely unexplored to this day.
Surrounding and encompassing all of this is the Astral Plane, which lies beyond the scope of what simple words can describe.
