Short Public Excerpt/Summary

Lt. Lee greets Sabbath and Tia after they return to Nigita following Tia’s near-brush with death at the hands of Dr. Loomis Vendredi’s bodyguard Sith Inquisitor. She reveals that the reporting on the attack at the Annual Kuati Decurion has gone viral, and Tia’s and Sabbath’s faces have been plastered all over the vids. After a quick check-up with Dr. Mathison, Tia is sent home under guard to recover. While unpacking she discovers a surprising gift from her new “friend” Bonnie.

The ship's ramp descends onto the tarmac at the Eastern Public landing pad of the Hub. As Sabbath, Tia and Iota, glad to be back on Nigita, are confronted by an odd sight. Lt. Lee, in her dress uniform, stands with her squad and Doctor Mathison at the entry to the Starport. Sabbath and Tia approach her.   "Good to see you're back." she begins, then pauses at their unasked question. She touches her medallion and points to Sabbath's. "Even if I weren't the first holo-call the Commanders made upon sensing the Vanguard's distress, there's always this." She brings up a data slate with composite images taken from the core worlds feeds with a chyron messages of Upheaval at The Decurion, Pentastar Zealot Attempts Hit On Mob Heiress, and all the way through to Syndicate False Flags: The Hutts Hire First Order Warlords To Take Out The Competition. Seeing the looks on their faces, she smirks, "Yeah, that bad." She nods to Doc Mathison who begins scanning the two of them. Unlike most humans, he makes sure to politely ask the 2-1B unit to take a step as he completes the pass.   "There's probably residual ionization trauma and tons of fatigue poisons leftover from the shock." He glances down at the scanner, "I'm also not happy with the dermal weave they sealed the saber strikes with. It’s a Biomed Series VII patch, so they probably didn't have a dermal regenerator on-site. But I'm sure that can be addressed later. The supplies at the townhouse will be fine." He steps back among the protection detail.   "There's some potential problems that will come out of this, not the least of which exposing what's going on here to more eyes than any of us are comfortable with." She looks at the stress in both their eyes then puts a hand on Sabbath's shoulder. "But we can talk about that tomorrow. Right now, the detail here will put you both in our speeder and take you back to the townhouse. T-3P0 has a full stock of Vigil Medical Supplies and I've got a squad of BX in the neighborhood."   She leads the two to the starport entrance and hands over a comm code. "917 is the BX in charge. He's a fantastic officer, he's got my trust. You need something, you call him." As Tia gets into the Military Speeder, Lee stops Sabbath and switches languages. {Vanguard, The commanders are coming soon. I don't know what the fallout will be with two Pentastar Inquisitorious on your tails, but I don't give a shit. You done good, soldier.} She squeezes his shoulder as he gets in the speeder. {The apartment across the street is now Vigil owned. But I think you'll be on the couch tonight and won't have to worry about the apartment until tomorrow.} She straightens up to leave with the rest of Mathison's protection detail. She puts her hand over her heart, nods, "May the Force ever serve you."

At her townhouse, while unpacking her bags, Tia finds an image of Bandit’s sister Sasha with a string of numbers on one side (possibly coordinates, possibly slave idents, something else?) and the ghastly handwriting:   "Love & Kisses, B."
