Gamble at the Casino
Veeja asks for help with obtaining some Dark Side drugs she plans to use in a special ritual to track down the Night Sisters. Tia, Dr. Turan, Bef’fo, Lexro, and Sabbath agree to help. They go to a casino where Tia knows someone who may be able to help - a guy named Cradium she knows from back when they were both teenagers. It appears that Sabbath has developed a crush on Tia. After they enter the casino, Sabbath tries to defend Tia's honor when a guard insults her, but Tia takes care of it quite effectively on her own. Once they connect with Cradium, Sabbath makes a deal - Cradium agrees to sell Sabbath the drug, as long as Sabbath takes the drug with Cradium before leaving. However, ultimately Sabbath refuses to take the drug with Cradium as agreed. Sabbath uses Force influence to convince Cradium not to fight. Unfortunately, he is left a broken man. On the way out, Tia spreads the rumor that Cradium had a bad trip and lost his mind. They return to Nigita. After a controversial discussion on whether or not the Dark Force drugs should be given to Veeja, Tia turns them over to her. However, the plan is for Znaniye to analyze the sample and evaluate its safety. Later, at the Barcrawl, Tia verbally slaughters Bandit when he asks her for her intentions towards Sabbath.

Bef'fo nods as a name comes out of the mind union of the hoomons. "Cradium..." He ponders and begins looking through his records and starts an info search, and puts out some data inquiries, with some data bounties for valuable information. (to resolve later)
Lexro gestures to Tia to look at the flower box
Tia: "You can take the flowers - I'll deliver the sugar." She picks up the cookie box.
Lexro shakes his head and holds out 300 credits. and gestures to the box again and nods at you pleadingly.
Turan is eating his cookies while watching Sabbath fail
Tia's eyebrow goes up. "Don't worry, masculine men can carry flowers." She pats him reassuringly.
Lexro: “Can you smuggle mine too?”
holds out arm so we can walk
Sabbath offers an elbow to the lady.....
Tia takes it
Sabbath: Bef’fo. Straight up. I only get shot hanging with Bandit and Tao. This is much better.
Bef’fo: Grinning smugly to Sabbath, "You need a better class of associates, but I wouldn't quit your day job... just yet."
Dr. Turan: well you got messed up yesterday...
Sabbath: Working for Bandit, Doc.
"It always helps to have interesting friends, Sabbath." Tia again pats Sabbath's arm (she hasn't let go this whole time)
“Killing me,”, says Sabbath with a smile.
Tia: Another impish wink
Sabbath: Was that supposed to be a turn on? I got issues.
Bef'fo laughs uproariously from the bleacher seats.
Turan joins Bef'fo in the laughing
Bef'fo talks into Sabbath's ear through the com, "See, you don't need to have an armed squad at your back to keep the peace."
As the guards finally turn around, Tia makes a face at them and sticks her tongue out, then turns and winks at Sabbath
Bef'fo nods to his doctor and makes his way towards Tia gives her a com, "We will be along in a moment to discuss the particulars, soften him up, make him uhhh.. in your basic words. 'Buttery'."
Bef'fo slithers his way towards the meet with Sabbath and 'The Doctor', "Ah....." he grins jubiliantly, "Tia.. You reaquainted yourself with your old friend."

can someone synopsis the last part of what occured, around 12am I had to head out so missed the nonsense past that point
Sabbath decided he didn't want to do drugs with the drug dealer, so he started to walk away with the drugs (after quoting Darth Vader - "I have altered the deal, pray I don't alter it any further."). Cradium was going to try to express some displeasure about it, but Sabbath used his mind powers to mostly convince him otherwise and Tia sealed the deal with coercion, reminding him that he did get paid a lot of money for the drugs & that he doesn't want Sabbath as an enemy. (Dr. Turan was going to chloroform Cradium, but he went down too quickly for that to happen.) Cradium was a sad broken shell of a man, so disappointed he didn't get to taste the goods. Tia left him some money as an apology to try to salvage any bad feelings he might have towards her, and then on the way out seeded a rumor that Cradium had had a really, really bad trip and lost his mind. We all left without incident.
Lexro was passed out at the ship with ladies underthings draped over him. Sabbath explained to Tia that he's actually a good dude trying to do the right thing, and Tia reminded him that keeping one's word is a good thing and told him that next time he should ask to see the goods before closing the deal (and to let her do the talking) to avoid things from being a problem in the first place. (At first, he was all formal, thinking he was going to be in the doghouse, but then when he realized all was well, he turned back into a fawning puppy.)
Once the group gets back to the base, Bandit didn't want to give the package over to Veeja because he doesn't trust her with dark side drugs. He wants Znaniye to look it over and render an opinion. The witch was angry, and much debate happened. Ultimately, Tia put a hand on Sabbath's arm and reminded him that the witch was going to use it to save lives so Sabbath gave it to Tia and Tia handed it over to the witch. Then, Sabbath trailed after the witch to keep an eye on things until Znaniye (sp?) could check out the evil drugs.
And then Bandit decided it would be a great idea to question Tia about her "intentions" with Sabbath, and basically implied that Sabbath was naive and Tia might be up to no good. That conversation didn't end so well for Bandit.
The conversation basically went like this:
Bandit asked Tia what her intentions were towards Sabbath.
Tia said that she didn't think her love life was any business of his.
Bandit said he wanted to make sure that Tia wasn't taking advantage of Sabbath.
Tia got pissed off and asked Bandit if he was calling her a hooker, how dare he, that they'd only just met and was he this rude to everyone without even knowing them.
Bandit said that he wasn't calling her a hooker, but that he was worried Sabbath was naive and that he didn't want him taken advantage of.
Tia berated Bandit for not trusting Sabbath and following him when he's off shift.
Bandit said that he does trust Sabbath, but doesn't trust him not being swayed by being around the hutt.
Tia tells Bandit that he proved her point because he clearly didn't trust Sabbath to stand up for himself, and he should have more faith in his people. Then she tells him that she understands that he's new to this whole leadership thing he's trying to do with the cops, but in general, from her experience she's found that it's best to actually try to empower one's people. And that if Bandit really feels that Sabbath is lacking in some way, the least he could do is actually give him the support and training to improve in those areas instead of just distrusting him and going around behind his back.
That's the point where Bandit basically said "Nevermind" and left.
Arrival at the Circus
Tia goes to the circus to try to recover a lost eldarbeast that was stolen from her family. She meets Bandit, Bef'fo, Sabbath, and Bantarra. She tries to push the animal rights angle so the group will help her steal an eldarbeast the circus has. After hearing Tia plead for animal rights, Sabbath tries to save some goats that are being fed to several captive kwi. Unfortunately, when he does so, the kwi become enraged. They break free, causing havoc amongst the gathered crowd, resulting in numerous injuries and deaths. The group ultimately captures them. The circus shuts down and flees. Bantarra tries to intercept the circus folks before they get away, but is unsuccessful. Zombies rise from the dead, and it becomes apparent that the kwi are tainted with Dark Side energies. Znaniye and Dr. Nutori are brought in as experts to try to evaluate what happened with the zombies. Much of these events are broadcast, and Tia does her best to explain how the events only occurred because the circus did not use appropriate safety measures. Once everything settles down, Tia takes ownership of the eldarbeast. Bef'fo helps make arrangements to deliver the eldarbeast to the O’Mandalorio family - he appears to have a crush on Tia.

Sabbath looks a little crestfallen as he kicks at a stone, whispering under his breath. “Maybe I want to see the animals.”
Bef'fo puts a sticky mitt on Sabbath's shoulder and grins. "Animals, yes the whole lot of them... Lets see whats for sale." He beings heading off with Sabbath to go take a trip to the petting zoo.
Sabbath, having been raised in an arid desert environment, devoid of much life, is always fascinated by the various animals that the universe has to display.
Bef'fo eyes up the little animals and some of the bigger ones with a palpable hungry lusty look. He makes idle chat with one of the show attendants and makes his interest in buying a few known. He continues along to the big beast look see as well.

Bef'fo calls out loudly to the attendant and gestures at the eldarbeast. "How much?" he begins to hungrily negotiate some prices, and arrangements for private delivery.
Bef'fo always speaks in huttese.
Bef'fo turns and raises an eyeflap of an eyebrow at Tia, "oh...? rare beasts fetch high prices... and this one is quality." He says with a greasy lick of his sticky lips.
Bantarra: We....we....we need to institute permits. Big ones.
You aren’t gonna EAT that beast, are you, Bef’fo? It’s beautiful., Sabbath looks at him incredulously.
Bef'fo seems enthralled at the premise of a goat about to be devoured and looks back to the eldarbeast. He looks to Sabbath, "All food is beautiful." he laughs with a deep ominous chuckle.
Bantarra: YOU ARENT EATING IT YOU OVER SIZED BOOGER
Sabbath: Who’s a good boy? Who’s a good boy?
Bef'fo licks his lips and eyes the nautilin with hungry eyes. "Yes... please continue being rude."
Sabbath waves politely, then goes back to petting his new friend.
Bef’fo: to Tia: The background is that Bef'fo's underworld fingerprints have him as one of the middle men that made some arrangements to get an eldarbeast pushed along the exotic animal trade. Now Bef'fo is interested in buying an exotic animal for a special dinner arrangements.
Bef'fo speaks to Tia and invites her towards the VIP area. Buying her any of the terribly aweful baubles and tasty street foods she indicates any interest in.
Sabbath is somewhat crestfallen as he leaves the elderbeast behind. A plan begins to form in his mind. “I’ll be back, boy.”
Bef’fo: five finger discounts...
Bantarra hands Sabbath his holdout pistol.
I promise. We will liberate that cat.
Sabbath takes it and sits in his belt, giving the Nautolan a nod.
Bef'fo eyes up the offered refreshments and victuals. He turns to Tia, in polite huttese. "Care to indulge, while the local murder for 'law' gang gets the hard entrance evaluation. "
Tia studies him for a moment, then says "Why not?" and takes a glass

when she hands one to Bef'fo, there's a token at the bottom of the glass - it bears the Mandalorio emblem
Bef'fo spills the beans on the local 'law' and tells her about their 'heroic deeds' of throwing people from roof tops into traffic, blowing up news agencies that tell bad press about them, wanton murder in the street. He catches the Mandalorio emblem, and smiles "Ah... ho ho ho.... I should have recognized."
Sabbath: Damn! Throw ONE guy off a roof into traffic and you never live it down.
Tia palms the Mandalorio token and disappears it
Sabbath is wearing clothes 40 years out of fashion. Who am I to judge?
Bef’fo: to Tia, Bef'fo regales her with a bit of his opinion" the local law claims they're on the up and up, but they're just a bunch of self indulgent egomaniacs enforcing what they believe to be justice... They don't even use the bounty system agreed upon by the majority of the universe."
Bef'fo shows a small pin on the inside of his lapel, Registered Bounty Hunter.
Bef'fo feigns not understanding Bandit's insult of his glorious language.
Bef'fo turns to give Bandit the slimey eye, "If you were such a fan of the bounty system, you know you can always put up a few coins on those that break the law, much like everyone else instead of doing it so..... inelegantly."

Bef'fo eats from a huge tub of popcorn heavily drenched in buttery olestra.
Bantarra: "I dont think I like this ride..."
Bef'fo laughs at what Tia says and seems to be enthralled at the blood sacrifice onto the altar of public entertainment.
Bef'fo turns to Tia and laughs uproariously, "Now you see how good they good they are at their job."
Bantarra: go to the circus they said
no civilian casualties they said
Bef'fo slaps Sabbath's shoulder and laughs, "Fine work.... upstanding fine work. Trading people for goats." He rolls back and laughs even harder.
Random person in the crowd : "My baby!!! My baby!! Has anyone seen my baby?!?!?!?"
Bef'fo nods at Tia and laughs as he begins pulling out a blaster shotgun from under his jacket and makes it ready and slots a charge pack. (Manuver ready weapon) Action Perception looking for something to help the situation. Bef'fo takes a moment to hutt grunt loudly to the people nearby, "In your best interest to listen to the lady, and get out or get down."
Bef'fo calls it out and points out the weak point of the fence, and cage and calls out that a shot there will knock the cage loose and pin the creature.
A huge high pitched dinosaur hunting cry is heard as the lead kwi charges at Bandit and gets tangled up and falls down. The other two blue lizard beasts leap over their companion and one going high grabs Bandit's upper body and begins rending it. The other goes low and begins gnawing on his legs, and switches to bite at the other leg and shreds flesh and armor despite Bandit's frantic struggles.
Bef'fo speaks quickly to Sabbath, "Push the fallen cage to trap the fallen one."
Bef'fo shakes his head looking disappointedly at the 'law' and eying up Sabbath... "Didn't even save the goats either." He turns and looks about, and considers the situation.
Tia goes around and tries to reassure the people in the crowd that are all shook up
"You can't ever trust these carneys - shoddy work, shoddy precautions, clearly they don't take care of their customers. Thank goodness these fine local officers were here!"
Sabbath: I guess I’m under arrest, boss?
Bef'fo smiles, at the sounds of alarms, "Ah..." he laughs and begins looking towards his eyepiece and heads up display. "So... the one in charge is making a sojurn outside of the area." He takes a little flip of his datapad to throw the tracker jacker details to Tia and Bandit's datapad. "How about we take a little stroll and have a talk."
Bef'fo begins the slither out of the main event tent, and through the petting zoo.
Tia: quietly - Bef'fo, do you have a way to move these animals out of here?
Bef'fo nods to Tia, "Of course.... I know a few people who have enough to move a considerable number of these." He pauses to laugh at his com and eyes Bandit with a profit hungry grin.
Tia: "Clearly, we cannot trust these circus idiots to take proper care of these creatures. Really, we have no choice but to liberate them."
Bef'fo calls out to Bantarra and points out the Podracer. "Cut him off, Hurry. If he gets away it'll be harder to track him down."
Tao: Jfc what did Sabbath do this time

Bef'fo makes a call to his fine privateer, "Harak... we have 30 or so guests. Quite rude little beasties, lets make sure they have a nice 'Restful' stay until we can find some new homes for them."
Tao: Fuck is this lady another reporter!??
Bef'fo looks to Tao, "She's a fine upstanding business woman, quite respectable" He says with an ominous chuckle."
Tao: Your business or normal business?
Tia gives a bow with flare

Tia looks at the rescued cat - and we do quite the charitable works

Bef'fo watches the ghostly things. and sees that his tracking equipment doesn't register life signs or hologrgraphics. !roll yygppp
Tia dusts herself off, trying to hide the fact that she had clearly been shaken.
Bef'fo pats Tia's hand reassuringly. "Live long enough and you'll see a great many things."

Bef'fo shakes his head at Bandit, "Arrangements have already been made, you break the deal, you owe double you know." He shrugs slightly, "If you're willing to owe more...."

Tia quietly makes a phone call and lets the family know that a cat is ready for pickup
So this particular species comes from Dathomir. Just like the description above. Though the MC before he was killed said they picked them up on a planet in the Deep Core called Ah'Hantuta
Tao: “So what I’ve gathered here; a force power was used, without GOOD reason. And now innocent people are dead’
‘That’s the order those events happened in, right?’

Tia contacts the Family show up to grab the cat while everyone else is arguing?
Bef'fo goes off to manage and handle his new animal aquisitions. He winks at Tia and sends his contact information with a text message of a :snail: (slug) and a :heart: emoji.
Tia tries to spirit the cat away, or texts Bef'fo and try to arrange for delivery as her "cut" of the proceeds
Znaniye answers the call from Bandit with a distracted. "Yes?" You see in the background of the holocall he was scribbling on a board complex notation of various force properties and string theory and he still is.
Znaniye sighs and puts down his holochalk,. "Very well. Stay your hand until my arrival." He informs Astarte of the situation and that "Apparently there is er... was a circus in town. Now it seems that the rangers occurred." He begins making his way towards the remainder of the circus and brings some of his research materials.
At appropriate plot time Znaniye arrives to scene...(whenever)
Znaniye approaches slowly walking up to the scene of carnage without seemingly to notice the chaos as he holds a datapad in one hand and approach.
Znaniye: "Ah... docto Nutori ah, yes.. Your comparative studies on divergent and convergent evolution across sectors was quite fascinating as well." They go through the considerable acknowledgement of eachother's scholarly credentials.
Znaniye responds with the correct pronunciation of the name of the group.
"Doctor Nutori, your assistance in researching this can occur at my library, I have been gathering an extensive library."
Znaniye seems unperturbed by the presence of a large predator as he looks it over the creatures closely examining their bodies "Their condition is not without hope." He says absentmindedly towards Dr. Nutori, "They are afflicted with... darkened power. They need to be restored to balance." He stands and dusts off his knees after taking close photos of the markings. "Research is in order."
Sabbath looks at his feet, shaking his head. “Hey, Tao. When you decide to charge me, I’ll be at the Bar Crawler drinking myself into a coma.”
Znaniye looks towards, "Tao, make arrangements for their proper restraint, and feeding. I will attend my studies and seek council." He looks over his datapad and begins forwarding the information to Astarte. "We will need to seek the council of the Dathomiri or a student of theirs. The rites to break it, or devise our own."
Asclepius wrapped around Znaniye's wrist.
If Tia hears that Sabbath is going to get a drink, she'll tag along
There is indeed a live snake around Znaniye's wrist, its color patterns are white and black in equal proportions.
He is also dressed in snake motif robes, walking with a snake staff.
Sabbath not sure if you know, or have experienced, but that snake on his wrist seems to be very powerful in the force in its own.
While watching the evening news, Astarte sees the goat moving around as if held by the Force, slaps her forehead, and mutters, "That's not what I meant by being a little more open to both sides of the force..."

Bef'fo makes arrangements for a certain green lady makes a late night visit to salve Sabbath's troubled mind, and body.
Slipping into the dark, gotta love Sabbath's rollercoaster of a force ride.
Fausto would hear about the carnage, and go visit Sabbath, hear the ruckus going on inside and run home to meditate without knocking on the door.
