Tajus Star System

Basic Description of System

Written by jbmcgraw

The Tajus Confederation can be found on real-world maps of the galaxy. The star that forms the core of the system is labeled Kepler-62 by NASA. There are two massive planets within the habitable zone, and one is thought to be a water world. Due to the distance from Earth, there is very little concrete knowledge of the system by those on Earth. The survivors who reached the system, not knowing where they were, named the star Tajus and built new societies on the two habitable worlds found orbiting it. While one was a water world with very little dry land, the other was very similar to Earth's composition and climates despite being several times its size.

Geography

The three innermost planets are extremely close to Tajus and therefore extremely hot. The Confederation tuns mining operations on their charred surfaces, but it is limited because of the extreme risk involved. The fourth planet, by far the largest and known as Homeworld, has vast oceans, sprawling plains, and varying types and sizes of mountain ranges. There is also one massive desert island. The final planet, Bea, is covered almost entirely by water with a few small, scattered islands.

Fauna & Flora

Homeworld has an extremely diverse ecosystem with new plants and animals discovered regularly. Bea consisted mainly of sea creatures of various types and sizes with an assortment of bird types as well.
