Kihra (KEE-rah)

(a.k.a. Ruby)

Kihra (sometimes known as Ruby due to her red fur and scales) is a Kobold from the small community of Deeproot, a Kobold warren within the Dark Hollows located beneath northwestern Imera. Inspired by stories of adventure and heroes from her childhood, Kihra has ventured up to the surface in order to explore the wider world, as well as to better her understanding of her recently developed ability to use magic.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Like most Kobolds, Kihra has a small, slight physique. While not particularly athletic, her underground upbringing has given her an average level of skill at climbing and traversing rough terrain.

Body Features

Kihra has a reptilian, humanoid body, with two digitigrade legs with three toed clawed feet, two arms with clawed hands (three fingers and a thumb each), and a tail, with a mix of scales and fur covering their body (scales on the underbelly, soles of the feet, and palms, fur covering the rest of the body).

Facial Features

Kihra has red fur covering her head much like the rest of her body, long, slightly droopy knife-shaped ears with black fur at the tips, and a pair of black, backwards facing horns. Additionally, she has three small spots of a slightly darker shade of red on each cheek, in a manner comparable to human freckles.

Special abilities

Kihra has the ability to use magic, though she's hampered by her lack of training.

Apparel & Accessories

Kihra wears simply, sturdy clothing consisting of a pair of trousers, a simple, sleeveless mage robe tailored to her short stature, and a short, hooded cloak modified to accommodate her ears and horns.

Specialized Equipment

Kihra still carries the pouch she used as a forager, using it to store plants (for both eating and medicinal purposes) and various other small items.

Education

Kihra recieved the same basic communal education as the rest of her peers, as well as training in the duties of of serving as a healer.

Employment

Before her magical talents became apparent, Kihra was initially a forager for her tribe, as well as an apprentice to her tribes healer.

Intellectual Characteristics

Like most Kobolds, Kihra is somewhat excitable, especially when presented with new experiences. Additionally, her training as a forager and healers apprentice has given her a basic understanding of how to identify plants for food & medicinal use, and she has a near-perfect memory of the stories she's heard growing up, able to recite them by heart.

Kihra always tries to see the best in the world around her, and is always willing to give others the benefit of the doubt.

Kihra is driven by a strong desire to see the wider world beyond her underground home, inspired by the stories from her childhood. Since her ability to use magic became apparent, she also wants to learn how to properly control it, something she feels isn't possible within the confines of her small community.

Having once been a forager for her Warren, as well as an apprentice healer, Kihra has some skill at finding useful plants, both for eating and medicinal use. Since she never received any formal training in how to use magic, her knowledge  on spellcasting is very limited, and she has difficulty controlling her magic.
