The Southbound Tribe Odyssey

During the efforts of the norse immigrants to make their new home in the middle parts of the western side of the continent of Sor Rusk, the initial and continued conflicts with the Orc Tribes disillusioned many of the tribes to the ambition of southern expansion.   becoming Vallian, some chose to continue their way south or west after the establishment of peace with the Orc Tribes of the Crimson Megafjord.   These daring folk would become the ancestors and precursors to the people of the Free Crescent Cities, the Indori, the Azzrezza Ascendancy and the Gaijeen Aristocracy, as well as the seafaring nations and pirate crews of the Primitive Expanse, the peoples of Central Terdafyne and the Suv'Sira of Southern Terdafyne.   Ironically, in their escape from the conflict, the Westsailing Tribes inspired the tactic that would guarantee the victory of the Southbound Tribes over the orcs; flank the orcs by building ships, sailing south and building fortresses behind their southernmost settlements. It led them to eventually conquer the pre-Wild Lands Kingdoms's lands, in which many tribes settled, and allowed the vast majority of the tribes of the Southbound to meet with the dwarven kingdoms who they would eventually go to war with.   Article Content

Sirian

Branching off from the more southbound tribes was the pre-Suv'Sira progenitor tribes. They tired of the conflicts with the orcs and of the agressiveness of their fellow tribesmen, and they decided to forgo their southward ambitions to take a chance in the west. These progenitor tribes, the Westsailing, built ships on the western coast and sailed over what would later be named The Sharpsong Ocean and settling Southern Terdafyne, eventually becoming the Suv'Sira.

Freemen

Branching off from these Westsailing Tribes while at sea, a portion of tribes tired of the enormous stretch of ocean that laid before them after many weeks at sea. These progenitor tribes, the First Southsailing Tribes, turned their ships south and east, intending to settle wherever on the shore of the landmass they had left that they reached first. Unfortunately, storms ruined their plans and navigation, sending them further west and south at sea. Still determined, they headed east but they did not reach the mainland as planned, but instead reached and settled the eastern parts of the Crescent Peninsula, eventually, through much conflict and negotiation, becoming the Free Crescent Cities.

Primas

Not long after the First Southsailing Tribes has branched off, another portion of the Westsailing did the same. These progenitor tribes, the Second Southsailing Tribes, lost hope that the west held any land and departed southward, eventually reaching and settling the islands of the Primitive Expanse.

Indori

After the conflicts with the dwarves and elves were over in pre-Imperial Lands, the Southbound Tribes left behind those that wished to settle these lands, including the Alourian Tribe, and continued on, passing by the mountains leading to the Crescent Peninsula and ehaded east. They eventually reached pre-Indori lands and a few decided to settle, becoming the Indori.

Azzrezzan

The rest continued east, wishing to see the end of this land and if even greater lands lie beyond the horizon. They passed through difficult terrain until they arrived in Tarra Suun, and to the bewilderment of those that continued on, some tribes wished to settle here.

Gaijeen

The rest continued on until the mountains halted them in their tracks, but they went south to go around, finding the sea instead. Not intent on stopping, they built ships from the surrounding woods and sailed along the coast and passed the Danger World Barrier, which confused and scared the norse, as not only was the construction more massive than anything they had ever laid their eyes upon, but the ceaseless sounds of massive monstrous creatures near and far beyond the smooth grey stone terrified them. Continuing on as quickly as possible, they eventually arrived in the lands south of the Ferian Confederacy, establishing the Gaijeen Aristocracy once they encountered the Dreamer's Ocean.   A few generations after their settling, the Ferians found them and, instead of destroying them, confederated them like they have done with most of the eastern land and named them Gaijeen, allowing them to establish their Aristocracy.
