The Last Stand of Defiance

The final battle during the Rule of Madness between the Dynasty and the first iteration of the Defiance that came before the birth of Alder Sunlight, which saw the end of that incarnation of the rebels. It is also the name of the historical landmark at the place of the first and only fall of the Defiance, their headquarters and stronghold at the time, as well as a memorial statue to the last men and women of the Defiance who died defending it.
It would take several decades before a very young Alder Sunlight found the stronghold and the hidden rooms of the Defiance that the Truespoken hadn’t found, along with their logs, journals, internal histories and documents in piles and heaps. With this, he secretly rebuilt the Defiance and, many years later, defeated Howaardt Truthlight at the Siege of Basil Keep, months after the Defiance victory at the The Battle of the Field of Fallen Truth, alongside the Alsmage.
