Taeingarnor when the planet had first taken solid form.

History
The dragons of
Taeingarnor were banished from the face of the planet alongside the worldwalking gods, the elements of the world that became the
Elemental Planes, the regions of
Faewyld and
Darkholme, and other aspects of the world.
And then, an enterprising thief and saboteur accidentally destroyed the
Dragon Gate Seal of the
Material Gate, releasing the dragons from their banishment to Limbo and returning every single one back onto the surface of the world, beginning the time period known as the
Flight of the Dragon Knights.
They ruled for over eleven thousand and five hundred years, but their many alliances were defeated one by one by
The Mortal Uprising.
Biology
Ages
Wyrmlings
From birth to the end of their first decade, a dragon is considered a wyrmling. An infant, ignorant of the ways of the world, little better than the beasts of the lands. Even though, to a short-lived mortal race like the
humans, a wyrmling in later years could carry a large amount of wisdom.
Young
From the end of their first decade to the end of their first century, a dragon is still naive to the true nature of the world around them, but they have gotten the hang of the most essential parts, enough to engage in the civilizations and societies that cover the lands.
Adult
At a thousand years of age, these dragons carry enough knowledge and power to contests with many of the most powerful races and monsters of the world.
Ancient
A terrifying entity to be feared in tyranny and respected in generosity. On their own, few nations possess enough power to weather the storm that is an ancient dragon scorned.
Elder
A truly ancient being, tens of thousands years of experiences and knowledge lends these dragons reverence from every race across
Taeingarnor. To earn an elder dragon's ire without power equivalent of a demigod is to court death and to earn their friendship is to secure an ally not only to yourself, but to your entire bloodline.
Archaic
The original dragons, born from a time after the initial clashes of the
Titans and the primordials. After those hundreds of thousands of years, only five would remain.
These were the leaders of the dragons in ancient times, known back in those times as the Prime Wings.
The most infamous is
Tairora, Mother of the Tarrasques.
