Structure

The Eastleigh Fire Department is Organized into seventeen fire companies, (Ten Engine Companies, 4 Truck Companies, 2 Squad Companies, 1 Heavy Rescue Company), four EMS Units, two Battalions, and one shift commander. They work in four shifts of twenty-four hours and have three days off for every day worked.   The EFD respond out of ten stations, (E4,E5,E6,E8,E9,E10,E11,E15,E16,E17), which each house one Engine Company (number matches the station number). The Truck Companies are co-located with an engine company, (T1 is at Station 4, T2 is at Station 11, T3 is at Station 10, and T4 is at Station 6). The Squad Companies also share quarters with an engine company, (S1 is in Station 8, and S2 is in Station 9). The heavy rescue is located at Station 4. The shift commander (Car 31) is located at Station 4. The North Battalion (Car 32) is located at Station 9, and South Battalion (Car 33) is located at Station 10. The EMS Units share quarters with fire companies. (Emergency 1 at Station 4, Emergency 2 at Station 10, Emergency 3 at Station 9, and Emergency 4 at Station 5).   All the equipment for the Eastleigh Fire Department is painted white.
