5e Racial Stats

  • Ability Score Racial Traits: A kobold increases their Dexterity score by 2.
  • Type: Kobolds are humanoids with the draconian subtype.
  • Size: Kobolds are small.
  • Speed: Kobolds have a base speed of 30ft.
  • Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and Draconic.

Cold Blooded (x)

Kobolds are cold-blooded, they cannot be detected by thermal vision; however, they are especially susceptible to the environment around them, they suffer Disadvantage on any Environmental cold or heat effects, and are Vulnerable to damage caused by Environmental cold or heat effects. Resistance to either Cold or Fire, cancels out the Environmental vulnerability of that environment. Natural resistance to one of these environments negates that environment's penalties.

Darkvision (x)

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Grovel, Cower, and Beg (1)

As an action on your turn, you can cower pathetically or appear cute and otherwise non-threateningly to distract nearby foes. Until the end of your next turn, your allies gain advantage on attack rolls against enemies within 10 feet of you that can see you. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Natural Armor (x)

You have tough, scaly skin. When you aren’t wearing armor, your AC is 12 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield’s benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.

Pack Tactics (2)

You have advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of your allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated.

Kobold Subrace

Burrows

  • Ability Score Racial Traits: The burrows increases one ability score of their choice, other than Dexterity, by 1.
  • Burrower (2): Burrow kobolds claw's can be used to help them move through ice, soft earth and soil, but not hard rock and stone. They gain a burrow speed of 1 feet that can only be used to burrow through ice, soft dirt, sand, or silt.
  • Crafty (1): You gain proficiency in the Perception skill as well as Miner's Tools and Trapper's Supplies.

Dragonmaw

  • Ability Score Racial Traits: The dragonmaw increases one ability score of their choice, other than Dexterity, by 1.
  • Dragonpriest (2): Choose one elemental subtype (Acid, Cold, Fire, or Lightning you gain resistance to damage against the chosen damage type. Once chosen, this damage type cannot be changed.
  • Wyrmcrown (2): You can cast two cantrips from the sorcerer spell list, and one 1st-level spell from the sorcerer spell list with this trait, using Charisma as your spellcasting ability for them. Once you cast the 1st-level spell, you can’t cast it again with this trait until you finish a short or long rest.

Urdraz

  • Ability Score Racial Traits: The urdraz increases one ability score of their choice, other than Dexterity, by 1.
  • Prehensile Tail (1): You have a long, flexible tail that can be used to carry objects. You cannot wield a weapon in combat using your tail, but you can use your tail to retrieve a stowed object, pick up an object within 5 feet of you, or stow an object as a bonus action. The object can weigh no more than double your strength score. Additionally, you can use your tail as a free hand when climbing, or when maintaining a grappled target of your size or smaller.
  • Wings (2): You have a pair of large draconic wings sticking out of your back that, when fully extended outwards, give you a wingspan equal to twice your height. All armor and back accessories must be tailored to accommodate your wings. You have a flying speed of 30 feet. In order to fly, you cannot be over-encumbered or wearing medium or heavy armor.
