Gorad Three-fists
Owner of the Come On Inn, Gorad is a retired pit fighter turned entrepreneur in the City of Vern. His fighting skills provide him with the force of personality and arms required to break up the frequent fights at his establishment. Well-respected by the crowds of the pits, Gorad always has his doors open as soon as the latest fight ends. Gorad has a soft spot for gambling and often bets on the latest fights as well as many of the dice games played in his tavern.
Pit Fighting
Primarily trained as a barbarian, Gorad made his fame by eschewing conventional arms and armor in favor of his fists and the rags on his back. Gorad received his nickname after a famous duel in the pits. A wily opponent used a particularly dirty trick to belabor Gorad, cutting the tie holding up his pants and exposing him to the audience. However, Gorad refused to bow in shame, continuing the fight without heeding the air between his knees. Once defeated, a commentator referred to his "third fist" as the source of his strength, cementing this ordeal as Gorad's most famous victory. His history as a pit fighter provides him with a certain kinship with Dahlia Summerhaven, who stays for free at his inn. According to Gorad, she is not the first fighter to stay at the inn, and is not likely to be the last. Gorad has an eye for talent and always has a free room for whomever he deems to be the next rising star of the pits.Criminal Connections
Rumors suggest that Gorad has connections to the criminal underworld of Vern. Some believe that his bar receives special protections from the League of Shadows and the city guard alike because he allows many perpetrators, petty and otherwise, to openly scheme at his bar. Other than murder, Gorad is content to let pretty much anything fly at his bar--provided he gets a negotiated cut. Others believe that Gorad may have other connections to crime, organized and otherwise, but Gorad answers these accusations with a swift boot to the curb.
