Daoine Óir agus Airgid, The People of Gold and Silver

Long ago, in the realm of the Talroch Isles, a race known as the Daoine Óir agus Airgid, or "The People of Gold and Silver," came into existence. They were the masterpieces of fey smiths who had designed them to be an army, a formidable force meant to stand against the numerous mortal races, and even the odds.   These exquisite beings were meticulously crafted with materials of unparalleled rarity: glimering mithril, rare and precious orichalcum, and otherworldly metals native to the fey realm. Their bodies shone with resplendent beauty, reflecting the painstaking craftsmanship of their creators with their power and grace.   However, the Fey responsible for their design were so profoundly moved by their own work that they couldn't resist infusing each creation with a spark of genuine life, endowing them with fey souls. These souls gave them not only a unique existence but a connection to the very heart of the fey world.   Yet, the war for which the Shining People were meticulously forged never came to pass. The mortal races and their conflicts turned in unexpected directions, rendering the fey army unnecessary. Eventually, the Fey Creators returned to their mystical realms, leaving the once-vibrant underground cities abandoned. Now, the Shining People, with their luminescent bodies and fey souls, find themselves as the sole inhabitants of these enchanted and forsaken places.
