The Weighter's Guild House

The Weighter Guild is the closest thing to a world-wide peace keeping force in Talthei. While they are nominally entrusted with hunting down people and creatures determined by their guild heads to be dangerous to the live and wellness of Talthei of a whole, more often than not, they play as mediators of inter-organizational conflict, whether it be between guilds, businesses, or  other organizations representing a group of people rather than individuals. These mediations occur at the area's Weighter's Guild House, or, in the case multiple areas are involved, at the central Weighter's Guild House in Topsir.

Purpose / Function

The Weighter's Guild House serves to fulfill the needs of members of the Weighter guild. Each hall has three main areas: the living quarters, the work quarters, and the deliberation room, open on a limited basis to the public in order to deliberate and rule on mediation cases.

Sensory & Appearance

For the living and working quarters, individual guild houses tend to reflect the style normal to their area. For example, houses on the coastal area tend to be built with a view of the sea and large windows to allow in warm sea breezes. (These style of houses also generally have a store of cold-weather preparation they do as the temperature drops.) 
All guild homes, however, share design in the deliberation room. At the front of the rather sparsely decorated room, a large, well-constructed table sits with five chairs to seat the Master of that particular guild hall, the oldest member of that guild hall, and three other members chosen by random draw. Two smaller tables sit before this guild table, although more small tables are able to be brought in depending on the complexity of the mediation required. A few benches are available in the back of the room for people to sit upon and watch the event, usually filled by any new members of the guild that avoided getting selected in the deliberations.
