Sùyúsian Language in Talthei | World Anvil

Sùyúsian

Mayae stepped into the void and opened their mouth. As they sang of a world, firmament sprouted around them. They sang of sustenance, and water began to pour from their feet. It fell and filled the spaces of the ground, forming the springs and oceans.   They could feel the agitation of their mother creeping on the skin of their neck, and their singing fell away to quickly-spoken words. Of humans, of orcs, of elves, of lamia, of gnomes and dwarves and every sentient creature that would make Talthei home. They spoke of gnosis and a layer underneath the ground that would grant them the ability to change their world. They spoke of moons and stars and suns, an infinity for her oasis to explore as they wished.   Their mother enveloped their body, and before they would be returned to their primordial start, they whispered of their siblings, tied not to their mother, that swallowing, endless chaos, but to this oasis they had created despite it.   As they felt themselves disappear again and their vision blurred, they shouted out their love for this tiny act of defiance, and from the words, a fragment and a shimmering mesh enclosed it, forever keeping them, and more importantly, their mother, from this chance of existence in the crawling chaos.
Sùyúsian was the language of creation used by the deity Mayae to form Talthei and separate it from their mother, the endless chaos of their existence. Originally a gift from their mother designed to keep them calm and compliant, Sùyúsian was able to transmute the energy of the primordial chaos into matter.   Upon using it to build a bastion in the primordial chaos and protect it from being torn back apart, Mayae was dissolved by their mother and Sùyúsian was lost.
