The Zelic are a very active group of people. They favor physical activities and respect their athletes, whether male or female.

Shared customary codes and values
All Zelic strive to partake of energetic persuits, whether in games, challenges, or physically demanding work. Zelic respect those who are willing to meet physical challenges.
Common Etiquette rules
Zelic of any status greet each other with hands on hips as they each nod their head to the other.
Common Dress code
In sunny weather, whether it is warm or cold outside, both male and female Zelic dress to leave their mid to upper back exposed. They wear halter-type tops, whether fabric, leather or armor with a strap going around their neck to keep their upper backs exposed. Additionally, they do not traditionally use footwear except when traveling in very cold regions.
Bostrid riders, whether male or female wear fairly close-fitting trousers with a belt-like cuff around each ankle. Between the bottom of their top and the top of their trousers, they wear a wide belt. Other Zelic may wear these as well, but many prefer skirts in place of the trousers to combat the heat of the environment. The length of the skirts seem to vary by personal preference. However, they also wear the wide belts.
Though both male and female outfits are similar, their ornamentation differs. Ornamentation is most often found on the waist belt and the shirt front. Males use pieces of bone and coin-shaped slices of horn. Females also use pieces of bone as well as shells to decorate. The bones in both outfits are often painted.
Wealthy Zelic will wear ornately decorated waist and ankle belts and shirt/armor fronts substituting shaped metals in the form of bones, horns, and shells. They will also wear a collar around their neck on which tall, beautiful feathers are attached pointing upwards. This gives the affect of a very tall collar behind their bald, scaled heads. And, of course, their skirts or trousers are made of finer materials and than those of common folk.
Art & Architecture
In addition to the decorations on their costumes, the Zelic will also carve beads from bones and horns. While many are simple, some are quite intricate. They may be given as gifts to others or may be sold for profit.
Herders live as nomads and live in tents. Permanent homes are usually made of some kind of brick or adobe. Pieces of glass are worked into the final layer of the house to reflect motes of light. In addition the wealthier inhabitants will have many windows in their homes.
Drums are the favored instrument among the Zelic. Dancing to drums is a favorite past time.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
Meals of grain, meat, and vegetables are served in large common vessels and each person is expected to serve themselves.
Males and females are treated equally in Zelic society.
One of their most favorite sports is Boztrid racing which involves obstacles that must be beaten as well as speed.
Zelic tie at least one feather to their most favored weapons and tools. This is done to improve their speed and dexterity when using the item.
Common Taboos
When in full sunlight, Ahsness do not cover their Patterned Back Scales as it is considered a sign of dishonesty.
