Redstone is a flat transparent block which can transmit redstone power. Also used for alchemy and crafting, this is the equivalent of electricity in Minecraft.

The Redstone can transmit a redstone signal. Nine powders combine together give a redstone bloc which is a red block that emit a redstone signal.

Geology & Geography

Redstone ore veins form at the bottom 16 layers of the map. Below layer 14, it can be found in 1.025% of stone. There is an average of about 24.8 redstone ores per chunk. Redstone ore forms in veins made up of 4 to 8 blocks. However, multiple veins together or non-stone surrounding the vein can change those numbers.

History & Usage

History

With time, the redstone became more and more important in the world with the apparitions of the factories. Machines becoming more and more complex and diverse, the redstone accumulated through the ages was consumed quickly to control more and more machines. But even though she is using a lot, there has never been a shortage.

Everyday use

Redstone is used for brewing, crafting, and in redstone circuits by placing it on the ground to create redstone dust.

In alchemy, the redstone is commonly use to increade the duration of a potion but it can also create a Mundane potion and decrease the level of a potion.
In crafting, the redstone is a component for the most part of the machine blocks: Redstone blocks, detector and powered rail, dispenser, dropper, note block, observer, piston, redstone lamp, redstone repeater and redstpne torch. It can also be use to create a clock or a compass.
