Personal history
Danell even blessed with his natural atlantean strength and durability, was not a fighter. He was a simple giant seahorse herder, earning a modest leaving amongst the seabed. So when the Trenchians attack his part of the city is usually one of the first to be hit. Every time he ran or his for his life, and every time he'd lose more friends and neighbors. The fear weighed heavily on him, and he'd become terrified just coming out of his house.
He was approached by a scientist working on a way to make atlanteans even stronger than they were already. Hoping for any way to get over his fear, he obliged. He body was altered through means unknown to him, as he was unconscious himself. But when he awoke he had a large black circle embedded in his chest, and black crab like chitinous armor on his back, shoulders and arms. He felt powerful, and the first thing he did was slaughter trenchman, for a few hours. His new strength led him to also pick fights with other atlanteans in order to decimate them. He became overeager to demonstrate his power over everyone. To the point he was forcibly banished from Atlantis.
When he came to the surface he kept the same behavior, taking on whoever he felt was a challenge. He would go after heroes as they were always willing to defend their people. He became a mob boss rather quickly, taking over territory in areas surrounding or bordering water.
