Logan always had problems with empathy, he just didn't understand why people cared so much. Especially when it was directed at other people. His state of mind leaned toward 'shit happens' and you deal with it yourself. His parents thought he would grow out of his awkward ways towards other people, but he was wired differently. He didn't see any other way how to act, and it was just who he was.
His journey to becoming Modlife started in middle school, he just bought a brand new computer and took it to school. During lunch a kid tripped and spilled his water all over it. It fried it completely, the kid apologized repeatedly but Logan just smiled and said ok. Logan later became friends with the kid, spending the night at his house and meeting his family. They became best friends, and remained so as the kids life turned upside down. His parents got divorced, he was was visited by the police for child porn, he was kicked out of school and had text messages leaked saying he was planning on shooting other students. Everyday something new kept happening before the kid tried to end his own life, he didn't succeed but he didn't have to. Logan accomplished what he wanted to do.
The fact that the whole thing seemed trivial, like anyone could do it. It intrigued Logan, he wanted to see how far he could take it. He had actually had to work for the information he got from the kid, but everyones lives are online now. He could do much more damage without really lifting a finger. So during high school he started charging for his services on the darkweb, and has made a mint from his jobs. He goes by Moderator, the virtual assassin.
