Meraki Inc. was founded in 1945, attempting to make a bundle by opening up a movie production and distribution company. They got off to a nice start with a few successes but the competition was steep. Many others also popped up at the same time with the same idea. They were starting to drown at one point, and the smaller companies were either being bought out or folding. They held firm, long enough for the the golden age of heroes to start and they cashed in their chips.
Meraki Inc. over the years blossomed into a media empire. While making all kinds of movies, they're primarily focused on stories about people with powers. They make their stars look as good as possible, as to keep up the illusion of their fighting prowess. Even when not on a movie set they present their stars as legit heroes.
