Personal history
Boston's family moved from Israel three generations ago, and had enough money to continue doing what they did back home, bee farming. They captured a local swarm and waited until they started producing materials they could sell. Things moved slowly with the business, but over the years it slowly bloomed. When natural and organic products became popular they had local restaurants and stores eating out the palms of their hands.
As Boston's parents got older and he was to young to take over the business for himself, they hired someone to run the day the day business dealings so they could relax a little more. The guy was very smart and knew how to handle everything off the bat. So Boston focused more on the beeping more than ever, he even noticed the bees looked different other bees. He figured maybe they migrated from another country and let it go. As time went on things ran smoothly, there were a few more visitors to the office than usual but nothing that stood out. There were a couple of weird blood patterns near the premises of the farm though, but they just thought something got caught on their fence.
One night he woke up to loud arguing and sounds of things being thrown around. The guy they hired to run the business had conspired with the bank and a few other to people to steal the business and the farm entirely, which included the house they lived in. But it was airtight and legally there was nothing they could do, they exhausted their resources trying to fight anyway. They ended up moving into a small apartment, where his father who was so worked up died of a heart attack. While going through his things after the funeral he found a pendant, gold and purple with a small honeycombed shaped dome on it. He wore it as a keepsake as he went to burn down their former farm.
When he got there he tried to help the bees escape first, the bees didn't move until the queen came out. Who slowly flew towards the pendant and climbed inside. Then he shooed the rest away so he could burn everything. But he was quickly caught and knocked out. He woke up tied to a chair, his assailants on the phone with the guy who took their farm. They began beating him, asking him where did the bees go. When he was in to much pain and thought he was going to die, he responded " they're going after you." Then a couple bees flew in while the guy swatted him away. Then one stung him and he let out an excruciating scream. He began shaking and sweating profusely, blood trickling out of every orifice, choking and coughing up blood. His body ripped apart, pieces of flesh melting away revealing bee like appendages. When he was done he looked like a human bee hybrid, who kneeled in front of him.
After he got his bearings back, he went after the bankers who allowed the transaction, he lawyers who argued at trial, and the judges who presided over it, but the man who put the plan in motion still eluded him. But his actions put him on the supes radar, and having lost everything, he didn't really care. He was going to do everything he can to kill those responsible, it didn't matter what or who he had to go through to get them.
