Valeria's father was a blacksmith and a repair man in Honduras. He created and fixed whatever was needed in small town. Valeria wanted to be just like her father, she loved that he could make whatever he wanted and when he wasn't looking she would practice on it too. One she surprised her father in front of his friends, she built a hand glove like she saw in one of the museums. Her father started smiling before his friends started mocking both of them, laughing at her doing mens work and at him for letting her.
After that he forbid her from coming into the workshop, even though she helped him all the time, as his memory wasn't all that great. She asked a woman he knew who made dressed to teach her so she could have a womanly profession. While she wasn't very interested at first, she also liked creating clothes as well. She got good enough to earn a job working for a luxury clothing company. She often came up with new designs, but wouldn't get credit for it. It was ok at first but she became angry after overhearing her boss completely downplaying her skill and involvement.
She got the news at work her father had passed, he was working in his shop and forgot one of the safety precautions that led to his death. After his funeral she found an unsent letter from him apologizing for forcing her to quit working with him, and that he should of stood up for her, and that he hoped she would continue with it one day. She was devastated after this, and could barely make into work some days. It inspired her to make an unforgettable dress inspired by her time with her father. Her boss laughed at it, and told her it was terrible. Her boss later showed it off as her own and was hailed as a revolutionary. At that point she had enough, she created another outfit specifically for her boss who she'd knew would steal it. When the boss personally modeled the outfit herself, she strutted with an arrogant smile on her face. The moment she spoke to say she made it herself, the collar on the jacket squeezed and cut her head off. Police eventually realized from fingerprints who did it, she was just happy she finally got credit for her designs. While in prison she turned her and the other inmates prison uniforms into weapons and caused a riot so she could escape.
