Personal history

For thousands of years the Gray Djinn was passed down between one family. The first of the family that found her was a smart, clever, brave, honest and an overall good woman. She was smart enough to get more wishes, and word them carefully enough that the Djinn could not twist her words. She knew well enough that she created a list of rules to pass down for when using the Djinn. For so many years the rules were followed and the family prospered, until one idiot came along.

The rules were usually passed down to the women in the family, but in the last generation not a single woman was born. The rules were then passed down to the eldest male, hoping he could keep the tradition going. The Gray Djinn could see the fool for what he was, and played him like a fiddle. Convincing him that the rules were only for the women because only a man could truly use her power. Seducing him into ignoring the book, she slyly guided his words into giving her freedom.

She destroyed the book and turned the rest of the family into pigs, which she eats from time to time. After that she began using her power to explore the world, using her powers unbound in all the ways she was forbidden to over the years. The sweet nectar of true freedom tasted divine, and she savored every second of it. Her powers drew the attention of the heroes, trying to put a stop to her calamities. The thought of being restricted in anyway after finally being free was vile to her. She swore vengeance on any who would stop her, becoming the villain Djinn Gray.
