Personal history

Mason's family has mostly been upstanding citizens, according to the law. In the past they were everything that was asked of them. They fought in the wars, they eliminated enemies and retrieved stolen property. Lawfully speaking they were right, but morally; hunting down Native Americans after a treaty is signed, stringing up surrendering british soldiers, and hunting down slaves historically doesn't fall in the right category. But his family couldn't have been happier. They reveled in the atrocities and embraced the pain they caused. They perfected it, becoming the most sought after slave catchers in the south. They would torture anyone to get information and their methods were creative, they'd make someone turn in their own mother.


This did not change over the years, they choose the losing side in the civil war but they kept the ways of the old south. Not only have they continued the practice of actual slavery selling them off to foreign countries. However the torture has become their bread and butter. They have excelled in the art of mentally scarring and breaking down their victims. Half of their flunkies are people they've previously tortured, and can't seem to break the spell. Mason is the latest to keep up the lineage, and he definitely is the best. Not satisfied with their usual quarry, he's started taking on contracts for powered people as well.
