Verdant Grove
Formerly known as Columbus Grove, Verdant Grove is a large city located in the United States. Although it has been around for a long time, many tend to see Verdant Grove as a new city, separate from its former Columbus Grove, as it was built from scratch. Being a modern-built city, it features careful city planning, eco-green design, and is overall catered to its population.
Aside from its design, Verdant Grove is also notable for its society. Imbued--both heroes and civilians--were critical to it being built back up, and as such they've become a cornerstone of the city. As have countless criminals, superpowered and not, who established a wealthy undercity before the heroes had a chance to wipe them out, which in turn has attracted even more vigilantes and heroes to the city.
Government
Verdant Grove is an American city and is thus ultimately ruled by a mayor. In the greater political scheme, however, it's a remarkably progressive city. They stand out not only for their positive view of Imbued, who have a greater hand in this city's politics that in most places, but also tend to be more accepting and progressive in other aspects of the political landscape.
Districts
Verdant Grove consists of six major divisions, which account for a total of 70 districts across the entire city. Each district is designed to be able to provide to all its inhabitants, so that housing and resources needed to live (such as shops) are within walkable distance from each other. Each district also houses at least one park of 1 square kilometer, so all people in the city have access to greenery within walking range.
Architecture
Verdant Grove is known as the "City of the Future" for a reason, and this can be seen in its architecture. Designed (and constructed) in recent times, it features top-of-the-line city planning and an eco-green layout. Much of the city layout is aimed at making it walkable, with wide sidewalks, plenty of benches, and much greenery. Its buildings are constructed in line with modern designs and strength, with stone, glass, and metal, though designs naturally vary among the many buildings in the city.
