Rafael Valero Everbell (a.k.a. Misglimmer)
A teenage vigilante known by the name Misglimmer, Rafael Everbell was born and raised in Verdant Grove, together with their older sibling, Harper. Like their older sibling, he inherited Imbued powers from both parents, resulting in a mixture of powers... with very little overlap between both siblings.
Like Harper, Rafael begun displaying his powers at an early age, and was encouraged by both mothers to keep them hidden, but to use them in private. However, he was still very young when public opinion of Imbued powers started to improve, and while he understands his mothers' caution, having to hide his powers has always itched at him. Luckily, there are plenty of masked vigilantes around that no one will raise a brow at the rise of two more... much, at least.

Imbued Powers
- Photokinesis: Just like his sibling, Rafael has only inherited part of his mother’s control over light. He can only negate and create it—can create flashes of it, but not rays or blasts of light. No direct application in a fight, except to blind an enemy.
- Illusions: Rafael can create illusions with incredible skkill, since it’s something he has been capable of since he was young. Most of his illusions are generalized, visible to everyone, although those are more projects than true illusions, since you can’t touch them. If he focuses on a single target he can make them even more realistic: his (minor) control over minds allows the target to think they’re touching (or hearing, or smelling) the illusion as well.
- Holographic projection: Rafael can also use his illusions to create a holographic projection of himself. Combined with his telepathy, this allows him to communicate over longer distances without having to be present himself.
- Telepathy: Can only use it for communication, not mind reading, much to his sadness. Can be combined with his illusions for holographic projection, although he usually sticks with just the mind voice since it’s much easier. He uses it a lot in the field for flawless communication with his sibling.
- Enhanced senses: Rafael’s senses are sharper than those of a normal human being. His eyesight even more so than his other senses.
- Enhanced learning: Rafael is an unnaturally quick study, which makes studying for school a breeze.
Apparel & Accessories
Both members of the Dazzling Duo are marked by their hodgepodge costumes, scrapped together from casual clothes and sports gear, as neither has access to professional material. Then again, who would waste such things on two vigilantes in the midst of teenage growth spurts? No, better to stick with more normal materials, easy to patch up and easy to adjust to their growing bodies.

Like Harper, Rafael is a high school student, though in just the lowest grade. The two of them go to the same school.

Rafael makes for a good hero: he is courageous and hard-working, but not (typically) reckless. He is startingly observant and patient, willing and capable of out-waiting an opponent if necessary, and practical enough to understand the necessity. He is devoted to his (self-assigned) job as a vigilante, and has a great sense of responsibility.
Vices & Personality flaws
Like Harper, Rafael's sense of responsibility can also have quite a negative impact on him. His devotion can come at the cost of his civilian life, and despite his young age, it was Rafael who suggested vigilantism in the first place. His devotion and responsibility can also creep into possessiveness, into a desire to see things done his way, by him (or, more often, him and Harper together). He can also be stubborn and uncompromising, traits which combine poorly with his patience.
