Everyone needs a nemesis. I always thought that mine would be an actual supervillain, someone worthy of fighting, my equal.
Instead I got a bitchy fellow teenager who shouldn't even bother me. Like, why am I even spending time dealing with her? She's not smart enough to handle me, and the problems she puts in my path are nothing compared to the stuff being thrown at me by actual government agencies. I should just be able to ignore her. Why can't I ignore her?
E/N: Because Ruby Gray is nothing if not vindictive, and Gina is remarkably like her in that regard.

The Essential Background Information

Japanese-Korean American. High school mean girl. The absolute worst. Bleached her hair white for purposes of being more interesting. Wears purple contact lenses for the same reason. Taller than me.
Has a power so insignificant on the scale that it's hard to determine what it even is, exactly. Some minor enhancement to intelligence. I'm not even sure if it would show up on any proper power scale.
E/N: And yet, the detail is included because Ruby is thorough even when she hates someone's guts. She'll destroy you, but she'll do so with a fair estimation of what you're capable of. Which is part of why she dislikes Gina so much. She's really not capable of much more than a temporary career as a high school bully, and yet she's managed to be a thorn in Ruby's side for as long as we've been going to Eagle Mountain High School, mostly because she's lucky.
She's moderately talented when it comes to academics. No real standout classes, but she's proficient in all of them and she's good at taking tests, doing schoolwork to state standards, and sucking up to teachers in just the right way so they think she's better at things than she is. It's difficult to say if she has the mental strength necessary to carry any of this into adult life.
