Welcome to a land of mystery and adventure, where riches and dangers await heroes who explore the vast trackless ocean of sand that is the Desert of Desolation. Once the heartland of a thriving empire, a magical fountain ensured that greenery thrived wherever the rivers ran. After a death-curse dried up the fountain, the area swiftly turned to desert and the occupants fled or starved. Now, only ruins remain of former grandeur. The land abounds with forgotten tombs, powerful ancient magic, and those scheming to gain power and wealth.

Dangers teem in the desert, from ancient undead to rampaging packs of monsters. And over it all, the relentless sun scorches the unwary. Intrigue, treachery, and hidden knives await travellers who deal carelessly with those they encounter, and some you meet may not be entirely as they appear. But the clever, wary, and bold may win through to vanquish the threat, find riches beyond imagining, and make the desert safer - for a while, at least. But beware - for the foolish and the unlucky, only death awaits.
