Common Taboos

Attacking another member of the Cyclopean Settlement is strictly forbidden. Those that attack or kill another member of the settlement is subjected to the rite of gcwonju, or banishment. The rite instills the bitterness of exile into the Ngigh, or exile hunter. The ngigh will never know satisfaction while they are exiled. Occasionally exiles embrace their condition and forgo the comforts of civilization; these Tunwungi become hateful adversaries of law and the community.
