Legend of the Lost Compas

Many of the fae tell of the first child to be allowed into their world. To help guide the child to their various homes, Sam's compass was enchanted to help direct them find their way.     This was the most angry Sam had been in all of his 8 years. He could never forgive his parents for moving him 5 whole states away from his friends! Do they even know how far away that is?! "Ugh!," he sighed, hoping they would hear his frustration from the other room. As he paced his new bedroom, an odd looking floorboard caught his eye. It was slightly off color than the others. "The grain of the wood has more 'swirls,'" he thought. "That's kind of cool." "No!," he quickly corrected himself. "It is not 'cool.' Nothing in this new house is 'cool.'" He stomped his feet on the swirly board. To his surprise, it cracked the board and left a small hole in the floor. He panicked a bit. His dad was going to be so angry. As he crouched to check out the damage to see if he could fix it, he noticed a small glint of light. He was hesitant but curious, so he reached down, into the hole. As he fidgeted around, he felt something cold and smooth. He pulled it out, it was light, and very detailed. "Oh...a compass. Cool." He rolled his eyes and tossed it into the corner.
