Sumano

The prophesied apocalypse has already happened, the end has come. Everything is frozen over with only small pockets of inhabitable areas. Lots of snowy beasts, lots of desperate people and only the shambles of a society remains. Now, our heroes are trying to start the next phase of prophecy, the resurrection of the new world, each for their own reasons.   The world used to be pretty balanced- mountains, forests, desert etc. There was all the various sentient races, and then spirits which roamed the shifting lands. These weren’t inherently good or bad, they just were. There was also gods, each with their own domain, some overlapping and others niche. Dragons, demi-gods, each representing a virtue given to them by the gods nomadicly traversed the world. The people were free to worship as they wished, and the while Sumano knew strife, it seemed at balance. That all changed fifty years ago when the god Sersyl, a trickster, plotted to cause absolute chaos. They steadily defeated the other gods through cunning, and with each god the world changed. The spirits twisted from the chaos into demons and when the final god was defeated, the trickster god devouring the others with each defeat and growing stronger, the ice age began.   It has been ten years since then.   The dragons, save one, are all slain. Countries which once knew peace are left in ruins. The people suffer, driven mad, the days of warmth within the memory of some yet completely absent for others. Heroes are needed, yet they are not born or predestined. They must prove themselves worthy and rise to the occasion, else all that will be left is ice and snow.
