God Empress Godrokalina

God Empress Godrokalina, 12th Empress of the House of Petrykha was the ruler of the Kingdom of Darklight to the West of Styx for nearly 2 millenia.

She succeeded her childless aunt on the throne and proceeded to erase any trace of her name and the history of her rule going as far as placing the death penalty on any mentions of her predecessor.

Godrokalina's rule was long and steady but also marked by decaying diplomatic relations to all of Darklight's neighbors.
The Bezsvetowna dynasty had long had its tensions with the neighboring Kingdom of Darklight and its own claim to the title of God Empress by Serkatha's Grace and so it came to petty war after petty war with each fiefdom chipping back and forth minor claims of land and estate until the Bezsvetowna line was tragically cut short by the Great Revolution and the execution of God Empress Irina Ekaterina Estaralynn Bezsvetowna III..
Empress Godrokalina had never liked the neighboring rulers in the slightest but the idea that a ruler instituted by the grace of the Goddess herself could be executed by mere mortals, peasants and workers at that, was a shocking and revolting one to say the least and so following the Great Revolution the Kingdom of Darklight attempted multiple takeovers of the budding City State of Styx each of which stayed unsuccessful and led to a growing militarization of the border between the two nations.
Until her death in the Year 186 since the Great Revolution Empress Godrokalina never acknowledged Styx claim to statehood and legitimacy of rule.
Rather she created a much cherished tradition (by her) of kidnapping one Stygian diplomat a year, having her decapitated and sending her head to the Grand Temple (as opposed to the seat of government, Parliamentaria) as so called "tribute".
This tradition lasted until the untimely death of Empress Godrokalina shortly after she had her cupbearer executed as a proof of trust toward her daughter who soon-after succeeded her as God Empress Urelya Seraph.
