Eastern Serpent River
One river feed into Lake Aphon, one flows out of it into the heart of the dreaded Leshivoi Forest and one flows out of it into the infinite depths of the Chasm of Umbrae.
The Eastern Serpent is the one who goes down, the dying serpent whose fetid waters are endlessly drawn into the Abyss and therefore few use the eastern river for transportation, joy rides or fishery.
It is said however that the fisher who is foolish or brave enough to try may catch one of the legendary Abyssal Eels, a species of eel that is said to absorb light in its vicinity and is only found in the short stretch of the river between Lake Aphon and the point where its waters rush down a waterfall into the endless and omnipresent Abyss.
