Abyss

The Hungering Abyss is the antithesis of the Realms, nonexistence made manifest like rot below the surface and also as the final answer to all questions as they die in our mouths.
Lying patiently below it waiting like the only predator to take on the Cosmos wholesale the Abyss has always existed and with every passing millenium it swallows more of the Great Everything.


It is said that one day all will be one with the Abyss and the World Skull and all Realms will sink into the pitch of its most apathetic nonexistence.
The only question there could be about it: when?
The Abyss manifests tendrils which reach out for the Prime Realm seeking to pull it into its fold. Normally these tendrils must be connected to the Abyss by link but the curious case of the Abyssal Whyrl of Umbrae shows that certain powerful magicks can enable it to break this rule.
