Prime Realm

The Prime Realm is the sphere of existence which contains the World Disk in all its sun-scorched ruin-riddled glory as well as the starlit tapestry of the Astral Realms sprawling around it.
The Middle Realms overlap with the Prime Realm like finely woven textile layers in the patchworked greatcoat of the Great Everything. It is from that interwoven state that reality as the people of the Prime World Disk know it is born.
Were it not for the Realm of Dreams the sleeping minds of mortals knew no dreaming, and if not for the blazing wastelands of the Realm of Fire mortals would not know the flame.
Similarly the other Middle Realms make up vital parts of the plain mundane reality known, for example, by the people of the Scorched Lands or the Deeplands.

Estur, the on-set of the Bright which turned the surface of the World Disk into endless deserts scorched by neverending sunlight at the height of the War of the Ancients is sometimes conceptualized as the forceful merging of the whole of the Prime Realm and the Realm of Light.
Irregardless of its true nature it led to countless deaths and greatest imaginable metaphysical upheaval.
The Realm of Shadows was thereby reduced to its current state: a nearly lost realm of half-remembered ruins at the bottom of the Sunless Seas and in the mirror surface of the muddy puddles in the shaded alleys of the City State of Styx.
