Aethereal Realms
The Aethereal Realms, also called the High Realms, are a circular realm of semi-solid cloudlands, floating islands riddled with ancient ruins and the scattered debris of elder technology from a time when the people of the Prime World Disk lived in such hubris they saw it fit to pierce the very heavens.
They are located far above the highest mountain peaks of the Prime World Disk within the reach of the Prime Realm and below where the Astral Realms and their infinite starlit tapestries begin.
It is here that before the War of the Ancients the machinery required for building the Seven Suns was located and some say that this technology is still somewhere there, sleeping, dreaming.
The Aethereal Realms are said to be inhabited by diverse peoples ranging from "ordinary mortals" of various shapes and sizes much like one would find them on the Prime World Disk to strange and ethereal celestials, eldritch beings from beyond the stars and machine-men left to their own devices by their lost and ancient builder-masters.
