Orcanid
Orcanid is a species of animal that are sometimes referred to as "whale wolves" or "wolf whales". They have a furry body, four legs, and a long and thick, whale-like tail. They can swim in open water as fast as any whale or dolphin, and they can run on land at speeds of any wolf, although they are not as enduring at high speeds due to their massive tales. Orcanids are vicious hunters and have a reputation for being wild, savage beasts. Their faces are more hyena-like than wolf-life, being shorter in length, and their paws, which are adept to swimming, resemble bear paws. Their fur is typically dark grey, light grey, or black, sometimes with white patches. Their hides are often scar-covered, and although they hunt occasionally in packs, they can turn on each other, including their young. Orcanids are sometimes hunted for their oil, hides, and fur, but hunting orcanids is a dangerous business. Orcanids' prey is typically larger marine or terrestrial animals like dolphins, sharks, whales, cattle, sheep, horses. Orcanids can swim long distances so they can appear without notice on all the hwells, although orcanid spottings and attacks are rare due to their relatively low numbers, which is in part due to their own viciousness to their own kind.
